Can I pay for my whole family?

Because the app is only $1/month, right now we ask that each person pay. Or as with children, help your family member sign up and use your payment method for their account. Asking for payment with a credit or debit card is also a security measure. It helps to validate the people using the system and provides for additional security for all our families. Then we can skip the whole photo and drivers' license "thing" you see on other free sites.

How do I get started after I download the app?

It's easy. Create your login account using the email where you received the invitation. Sign in to the app. Now using the app on your phone, you can either create a FamilyNest or accept an invitation if one has been sent.

Why do you use a family manager?

We believe having 1 family manager will keep your family better organized and eliminate duplication. It's straight-forward.  But this is new, so we want your feedback on how this works for you and your family.

Why can I only create 1 FamilyNest? I want more than 1 family to join.

In fact, that happened with our family. We just asked another family member to create the new FamilyNest and invite members, and poof. Easy peezy! Same answer as above. We are trying to keep you organized, but please share your feedback so we can improve the app.

How much work is it to be the Family Manager? I'm really busy!

It's not much work at all.  Simply enter the email addresses of the people you want to invite, and the app does the rest. ​​

How many families can a FamilyNest member join?

It's unlimited.

How do I get my family to use FamilyNest instead of other social media?

Good news! They don't have to quit other social media platforms.  With our family, we found they enjoyed having FamilyNest just for us because it's so easy to share with everyone or message family members.  It sort of happened naturally because it's better. You feel closer to your family and the privacy aspect is freeing.

Also consider the common complaints about social media are ever growing, especially complaints about ads, clutter and privacy.  And a critical topic, the safety for kids online.

Can I invite friends to join my FamilyNest?

Of course. Whomever you want.

Can I create a "family" with people who are my friends or chosen family?

Again, of course. We have our chosen family in our nest!

What are your plans for FamilyNest?​

Our first goal is to build foundational features (Version 1) that allow families to communicate privately and safely. Next, we start adding "more fun stuff".

Can I give you feedback, send ideas and report problems?

​​Yes, absolutely. In fact, we know from experience that customers want to share their ideas and that will help us make this app truly great for families.

How do your protect privacy?

​There are 3 ways we protect your family:

1. You must use a real email to create an account that can receive a verification and invitation from FamilyNest.

2. You must enter a valid credit card. Parents use their card to sign up their kids.

3. Finally, the system has an invitation-only feature.  Only the family manager can invite FamilyNest members to join their family.​​​​​​
